Welcome Fifth Graders!

We will be starting our Biography Unit!

 

At this point, you have already picked a Who Was? or Who Is? book of your choice to read! Each of you chose an important person to read about. You might have chosen to read about an artist or an author, past or present presidents, an actor, an athlete, an important political figure, and more! Throughout this unit, you will be identifying various elements of biographies as you read. In addition, you will also be exposed to different non-fiction text features as you read your biographies to help you better understand non-fiction texts.
